June Updates

Barely a month ago, I wished you a happy spring. Now, with temperatures climbing into the 80s, it seems that summer is already upon us. Many of us will be attending multiple shows and festivals over the summer, both as exhibitors and as patrons. My word to the wise this month is simple. About 15 years ago, I realized I was working too much and watching life pass me by as I recuperated each weekend from my weekday job. I decided then that I needed more fun in my life. Since then, I have been living by the motto “Have fun now!” Don’t wait until you retire to do the things you enjoy, have fun now! Many of us are fortunate to be able to do what we enjoy as a vocation, which brings us one step closer to having fun now. If you, like I, have a non-artistic career that pays the bills, I encourage you to take time for yourself and have fun now. Now is the only moment we have; live it to the fullest!

Our upcoming general meeting will be held in-person only next Wednesday, June 18, at 7 p.m. at St George’s church in Ardmore. Wendy Merron will lead a Make-n-Take in which we will use polymer clay to create adorable gnomes. Look for more details below in the Gazette. Please sign up to reserve your spot at the link provided.

Go have fun – now!
