September Updates

It’s time for our annual picnic!

Every year we get together for a fun and relaxing pot-luck picnic. So come out, bring a friend or significant other and get to know some other people in our guild! Better still, we’re pretty good cooks, so good food and good company make for a fun time. Sign up here to bring something! (Not required, but please let us know you are coming by contacting us here.)

The PGC show in Oaks is at the end of the month! And we could use your help! It’s indoors, so no need to worry about the weather! And for us it’s much closer to home, so come out and and check out the show, but also consider helping out! We need people at the front desk as well as booth sitters! If you’d be interested you can sign up here: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/8050C4EAEAF2EA3F94-50183965-fall#/

PGC is celebrating its 80th anniversary! There will be an open house, a chapter challenge and other opportunities, so don’t forget to read out the information below.

We’re gearing up for our own show in November! As always, we need your help … please consider helping out and sign up here: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C0D4BA4A729A2F94-47986240-2024#/.

I’m happy to announce that the board has voted to update our by-laws, so now we have a few extra spots open for Members at Large. In that spirit, I’d like to highlight our current Member at Large, Rich Maxwell. A Member At Large board member, is responsible for heading at least one committee, and other than that helping out and volunteering as they are able in addition to adding their voices at board meetings. Rich has generously acted as host on many occasions as well as coordinating our show floor layout. Rich has been an active board member for many years and we are grateful for his many contributions.

And we’ll be meeting at Rich’s house for our annual picnic, so please let us know that you are coming, and I look forward to seeing you there!

See you at the next meeting!
Christine Wright, President
