About Me
My art is full of magic and wonder. I create art to add balance and beauty to my life. Working on a slab of clay, I use wet colored clay as my paint and add layers of texture, color, design and images to create a piece of art. Mostly abstract, with something familiar to hold on to, my colors and figures draw you in to the artwork. What you discover the longer you look at my art are the colors, textures, patterns and shapes that emerge through the many layers. I have been told that my art has an “ancient” feel to it, a wisdom that comes through. I use many abstract figures in my work so that you can see yourself in the art and discover something new and different about you as you look through the layers. Collectors of my work tell me that my art is empowering and encourages them to listen to their own voice and be brave. Others tell me that the colors draw them in and add beauty to their lives when they need a reminder that there is good in the world.
