The Haverford Guild of Craftsmen Spring Art & Fine Craft Show is a non-profit organization committed to encouraging and promoting the practice of fine craft and art in Haverford Township and environs through fellowship and networking at monthly meetings as well as educational and sales opportunities in our community.

Our Fine Art & Craft Shows are our main source of fundraising for our member activities. Volunteers are a valuable and integral part to fulfilling our mission. If you would like to sign up to volunteer, click here.

SHOW VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES:

GREETERS are the first faces our customers see.

Your job is to welcome them, ask them to sign in, give directions, and sell admission and raffle tickets. As a committee you will locate and organize a list of volunteers into shifts to cover all hours of the show. Your committee chair will help you and give you all of the forms and supplies needed. You are not alone! The greeter committee person will be located close to the greeters. All monies collected will be turned over to the Show Chairperson at the end of the show.

The SIGNAGE Committee…

…organizes HGC signs and makes a plan for where they will be placed. The committee will oversee and instruct volunteers to install the signs on the day before the show and take them down when the show ends. Spouses welcome to sign up!

The PUBLICITY Committee…

…oversees the effort of the membership on the Signup Genius website. You will coordinate print and online advertising as well as Instagram and Facebook posts and boosts.

The RAFFLE Committee…

…organizes our artistic donations, manages the artists’ display table, and sells tickets for a chance to win an HCG Gift Certificate to spend at the show. A greeter or student volunteer will be assigned to sell tickets next to the raffle tables. You will be responsible for picking a winner of a gift certificate at regular intervals. The person in charge of the raffle committee will be located near the raffle booths.

The BOOTH Layout and Decor Committee…

…will help with laying out the booth spaces before set-up. Help plan any special decorations we might like such as balloons or flowers for the tables. You will need to get 3 volunteers to pick up 7 balloons each and bring on Saturday. They will be reimbursed. You will need to get volunteers to bring in some flowers for the raffle, membership and greeter tables. Again the cost for the items purchased will be reimbursed. Spouses welcome to help with booth layout!

The SPONSORSHIP Committee…

….will create a sponsorship tier level program, with board approval, and contact potential sponsors.
